LINEAGE OF MAXINE PUGH MACLAMROC
of Greensboro, North Carolina,
from William Allred, b. ca. 1732, Northumberland Co., Va.
William Allred, with his brother John and Clement (or Thomas?)
Allred, came to North Carolina and settled near Millboro, in
what is now Randolph Co., formerly Guilford Co., and prior to
that, Orange Co. William M. Elizabeth , and their son John
Allred m. Sarah Spencer. Their son was Elisha Allred, b. 1803,
m. 1/15/1825, Barbara Spoon; their son was Henry
Branson Allred, b. 2/22/1826, d. 12/7/1901, buried at Cedar
Falls Baptist Church cemetery, Randolph Co., N. C. He m.
4/5/1849 Eunice Leonard, b. 7/15/1829, d.1/10/1904, buried at
Cedar Falls Baptist Church cemetery. Their daughter was Alethea
Jane Allred, b. 9/19/1853, d. 11/13/1935, buried at Gary’s
Chapel Methodist Church cemetery, Randolph Co., N. C. She m.
Mallard Fillmore Pugh, b. 3/12/1851, d. 3/26/ 1928. buried at
Gray’s Chapel; their son was George Denny Pugh, b. 11/6/1874
near Gray’s Chapel, d. 4/5/1936, buried at Gray’s Chapel; m.
12/24/1899 Irene Smith, b. 2/18/1878 near Gray’s Chapel, d.
12/2/1959, buried at Gray’s chapel.
Their youngest child is Maxine Pugh, m. 1/19/1954 to James
Gwaltney Westwarren MacLamroc of Greensboro, N.C. Their sons are
Alan Gwaltney Westwarren MacLamroc, b. 12/26/1954, and Brian
Gwaltney Westwarren MacLamroc, b. 2/24/1956, both born at
Greensboro, N.C.
