This indenture made this tenth day of December on the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty five Between Mary Swift of the County of Randolph and State aforesaid of this of North Carolina of the one part and Emsley Allred of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Whensforth that _____ _____ the Mary Swift for and in consideration of the sum of Seven Dollars and thirty four cents to her in hand paid by the said Emsley Allred the receipt whereof the _____. Mary Swift doth hereby acknowledge the _____Mary Swift hath granted bargained and sold allowed and confirmed and by these doth give grant bargain and sell alien and confirm unto the said Emsley Allred his heirs and assigns for ever all that tract or parcel of land allotted by right of Dower to the said Mary Swift situated lying and being within the boundaries of the lots allotted to Elias Swift, Jim Swift, Everette Swift on the County of Randolph and State aforesaid on the waters of Sandy Creek -- Beginning for the same at a White and runs South 72 poles to a black Gum there west 138 poles to a white oak in the ____ ____ then North 72 poles to the old original Corner then East 138 poles to the Beginning Containing sixty acres of land more or less also all of the estate Right to the Dower Interest claim and demand whatsoever of Her the said Mary Swift of in and to the said parcel of land and premises and carry part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the said parcel of land and premises about Mentioned with the appertainous thereunto belonging unto the said Emsley Allred his heirs and assigns forever by there presents and the said Mary Swift for her self and her heirs. The Messenger or _____ and every part there of against her and her heirs to the said Emsley Allred and his heirs and assigns shall Warrant and Defend by these presents in Witness where of the said Mary Swift hath hereunto set her hand and affixed her seal the day and year above written. Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presents of us.
