Elias W. Allred March 20, 1824 - March 8, 1910 and wife Patsy Allred, died May
27, 1904 (no birth date). Elias was a Baptist Preacher, very well known in
the area. He assisted in the Great Revival of
1873 at Sharpe Mountain Baptist Church in Cherokee County, GA. Per the
stories and church records, the congregation witnessed something very unusual
during this Revival.
All of the Allreds in this cemetery are buried close to each other. In the
foreground is the family marker for Vera Morris Allred and Arthur Allred.
In the back ground is Elias and Patsy's tombstone. Just beyond Elias and
Patsy's stone is
the rest of the Allred graves listed on this page.

Arthur B. Allred, Sr., July 29, 1905. We were told that Arthur died
shortly before our visit to Cool Springs in February 2000. Arthur used to
own and operate the Tate Drug Store which had a soda fountain and was a popular
gathering place for locals.
