All About
Spring City, Utah

Hosted by Kaye
Watson
To all Allred & related
families.
We would like to print more
copies of
Life Under the
Horseshoe, A History of Spring City
for those who don't have one. Would love to
add photos
of Spring City places that we never found,
i.e. the Old Blue Hall,
Baxter Service, Presbyterian School, Young
Men's
Co-op, the Big Spring area, LyceumTheater, hat
shop, Orson Allred Hotel,
John "Jimmy Fiddler" Davis, dances, Railroad
station and train, LDS Church
under construction, 1899 school under
construction, and school photos with your
ancestors in them.
If there are questions,
please contact me.
We would also like you to
examine histories you
have to see if there are any mentions of
information about
the Big Spring (Main and 1st North)
and if any of you have personal memories of
the Big Spring,
we'd love to have them--ASAP.
Thanks for any help you can
give.
Pre-orders for book are possible but no
details yet.

Historic Spring City, Utah
ForbesTraveler.com
included Spring City in an October 13, 2009, article entitled 20
Towns That Are Picture-perfect. The article includes a photo of the
Orson Hyde home and the old school. The author, Rob Baedeker, listed the
central-Utah town of Spring City, originally a Mormon settlement as a magnet for
artists. The article is on the Friends of Historic Spring City Web site: www.historicspringcity.org.
